She for She. Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Workshop
"The Women Development Cell of Don Bosco College, Mampetta, organized a “She for She” Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Workshop on 14th August 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Combined Class Room. The programme was conducted to create awareness among students about the importance of menstrual hygiene and women’s health. Ms. Sangeetha KV, HoD, Department of Social Work, Don Bosco College, Mampetta, was the resource person for the session. She explained the importance of maintaining personal hygiene during menstruation, taking proper care of oneself, and following healthy habits. She also spoke about common problems and misunderstandings related to menstruation and encouraged students to talk openly about menstrual health without fear or shame. The session highlighted the need for proper menstrual care, confidence, and dignity and encouraged students to support and care for one another. The programme was informative and interactive, and the students actively participated in the session. The workshop was well received by the participants and helped them gain useful knowledge about menstrual hygiene and healthy practices.
