Don Bosco College, Mampetta, established by the Salesians of Don Bosco, has been steadfast in its commitment to youth empowerment and quality education since 1989. What began as a Youth Centre offering guidance and tuition support for local children gradually developed into a broader educational mission, expanding into technical and vocational training through the Industrial Training Institute and Computer Centre, which received NCVT approval in 1997. The introduction of the Plus Two programme in 2005 further strengthened its academic outreach, providing greater opportunities for deserving students in the region.
With approval from the Government of Kerala and affiliation to the University of Calicut in 2013, the institution entered the higher education sector, offering career-oriented undergraduate programmes designed to meet contemporary academic and industry demands. In 2023, the college was accredited with a B++ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a recognition of its sustained commitment to academic excellence and institutional quality. Rooted in the Don Bosco educational tradition, the college emphasizes integral formation, discipline, character building, and social responsibility, striving to shape competent professionals, ethical leaders, and responsible citizens committed to the service of society.”
