Chess Competition
"The Department of Social Work at Don Bosco College Mampetta organized a Chess Competition on July 21, 2025, to commemorate International Chess Day. The event was held in the examination hall from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM and saw the participation of 17 members. The primary objectives of the competition were to promote strategic thinking, foster interaction, and encourage competition and sportsmanship among students. The event provided a platform for students to engage in a mentally stimulating activity, promoting critical thinking and healthy competition. Sanjay from the Department of Sociology emerged as the winner, showcasing his strategic thinking and chess skills. Overall, the Chess Competition was a success, with participants displaying good sportsmanship and enthusiasm, and it is hoped that such initiatives will continue to promote these values among students.
