'A Day With Jane Austen '
"The department of English, Don Bosco College Mampetta organised a film fest named 'A Day With Jane Austen' in association with IQAC on December 17th 2022. The one day film fest screened two movies based on Jane Austen's famous works: Pride and Prejudice and Emma. The fest started with an introduction on Jane Austen and her works and was followed by the screening of the movie Pride and Prejudice directed by Jow Wright at 10:00am and Emma directed by Autumn de Wilde at 1:30pm. The screening of movies were followed by discussions on the pertinent questions raised in the films on women and society. The fest was a huge success with students openly deliberating on issues which are taboo and swept under the carpet in the society. The fest concluded at 4pm.
